This is a great pipe. It came with everything I needed. So I can enjoy my smoke and then clean it out afterwards. It looks just like the pictures. It’s a smaller pipe so it’s lighter than a bigger pipe.

Ordered this because I've been dipping my toes into the pipe scene. My first couple of "starter" pipes all ended up being very plasticky in construstion, even though they specifically said they were made of wood. Luckilly, that's not a problem here. It's got wood and metal construction throughout and, since the mouthpiece is wooden, feels very premium in comparison to my previous pipes. If you like the looks, give this a try.
I believe this is the only pipe I've gotten from them that has a "matching" wood stem, but sadly just like the photos... it doesn't match. The stem is a bit lighter and of course the grain is completely different which, imo, defeats the entire purpose of this style. The other major drawback and 2nd star reduction is the thimble sized bowl of unknown metal, I'd like to think it's solid brass but there's no mention and no way of knowing. With the bad out of the way, here is the good. It presents fairly well despite the mismatch and it works great for the short session one can get from such a small bowl... just be aware that there is a correct way to load the included filters. The tools are good enough and get the job done. They also changed the included "velvet" pouch to a blue one which I love and the magnetic closure box is all ready to be wrapped and gifted. It would make a good gift for a novice or a kick around pipe for a seasoned smoker.
Now if you're a pipe aficionado, this pipe may not be your speed. I myself am a cigar smoker, and admit that I got this more out of curiosity than because I know anything about pipes. It is a small pipe. That's not a bad thing, only you should be aware of it when you purchase one. It has a very pleasing appearance, and for me, that was important. This is more an attractive display piece for the top of my humidor than an actual smoking implement, and it looks lovely. The build quality, as far as a rookie like myself can tell, is very good, with the metal bowl an interesting addition that should make it long lasting if you choose to use it regularly. For the price (around $25 with the accessories), I thought it was an excellent value. So, for display, or for a pipe smoker that just wants an inexpensive, but attractive pipe (perhaps for travel as it is small), this is a very nice choice.
